    Here's a brief list of some of the things LLS Patient Services Department was able to accomplish last year, due in large part to the fundraising of TNT participants.

    PATIENTS SERVED
    462 patients contacted our offices year and received services. We currently have a total of 3,962 patients on our mailing list.

    FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP PROGRAM
    15 groups, including 1 short-term group and 4 pediatric groups serving 479 members plus one new peer-led CLL support group

    FIRST CONNECTION PROGRAM
    83 First Connection Peer Volunteers - 221 matches made this year, Total for the 5½ years of the program - 1513 matches.

    PATIENT AID PROGRAM
    $95,540.61 reimbursed to patients for transportation, drug and other expenses

    ADVOCACY
    Visits made by Grassroots Advocacy Leaders during Advocacy Days to the offices of the following legislators in Washington DC: Senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer, Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, Dist. 16, Congressman Pete Stark Dist. 13.

    PATIENT EDUCATION
    37 educational programs sponsored for patients and families, attended by 734 people

    PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
    13 Education Programs for Health Professionals.

    PROJECT SHARE LIFE
    Funds raised to support Project Share Life and Rotary Project Share Life: $19,158; Number of Drives supported with funds: 58 drives held; Number of Potential Donors typed at these drives: 3372; Funds raised since 1994: $358, 366
