marathon
Yes, We did it!! We ran our very first ever marathon ...and possibly our very last :). It was an awesome experience. Our training helped us through all the tough parts, and painful as it was, we finished with a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. Team in Training was a great support group. They were there when we needed them the most. We are very grateful to our coaches who ran with us for the last few miles and helped us push ourselves to the finish line.
The 32nd Annual Honolulu Marathon
December 12, 2004, 5:00 AM!!
The marathon had over 26,000 participants with walkers, runners and wheelchairs and
almost half of them were Japanese. We were welcomed by fireworks at the startline
(a great way to start a race!). Unfortunately, the course was too congested.
We struggled to get around and weaved through people for the first 8 miles. Humidity
was low and temperature was not hot but it was still slightly warmer than what
we trained for. Click

We exceeded our goal and collected over $8000 in donations. Thank you so much for our wonderful families and friends who supported us. We are truly grateful. We couldn't have done it without your love and support.
